Christmas is a celebration of that moment in time when Yeshua—the Messiah, the Christ, the Savior, the King of Kings—was born in a manger as a baby. It is His coming as the Son of man, in human form, to experience life as we do. Instead of celebrating His divinity, we should celebrate His humanity on this day. It is because He came as man, made like us, that He can be our example of how to live in this world and participate in bringing God’s Kingdom to Earth.

The Hebrew concept of Messiah is about a very human figure, which is how the story of the New Testament begins. Yeshua is born as a baby and lives on Earth as a son of man—a human being.
He experienced what we experience, which means He can relate to the temptations and problems we face. We can draw from the life He lived in the flesh. Christmas is a beautiful picture of what God our Father has done by giving us a Messiah who is able to come to our aid and minister to us in our time of crisis and need.
Christmas is a celebration of the unique humanity of our Lord. Because Yeshua lived a successful life on this earth as a Son of man, nothing we face in life can separate us from the love of God—for we have been given a Messiah who understands us and is able to help us, deliver us, comfort us, impart to us, train us and bring us into all that God has for us.
