Create the New Age

When Jeremiah was a youth, the Word of the Lord came to him saying,

Before I formed you in the womb I knew you,
And before you were born I consecrated you;
I have appointed you a prophet to the nations.” (Jeremiah 1:5)[1]

Jeremiah responded, “I do not know how to speak, because I am a youth.” But the Lord answered, “All that I command you, you shall speak. Do not be afraid.”

Behold, I have put My words in your mouth.
I have appointed you this day over the nations and over the kingdoms,
To pluck up and to break down,
To destroy and to overthrow,
To build and to plant.” (Jeremiah 1:9–10)

God consecrated Jeremiah and appointed him to speak to the nations. But Jeremiah insisted that he did not know how to speak, and there is a truth in that. When the sons of Sceva attempted to cast out devils with human words, the spirits overpowered them (Acts 19:13–16). God did not want a lot of words from Jeremiah; He wanted Jeremiah’s mouth to be as His mouth (Jeremiah 15:19). The Lord touched his mouth and said, “When you speak My words, you will destroy and overthrow; you will build and plant. You will create the new age that is to come.” And the words that God put in Jeremiah’s mouth accomplished that.

Yeshua (Jesus) spoke with authority, and not as the scribes spoke (Mark 1:22). He cast out demonic spirits with a word and healed all who were ill (Matthew 8:16). People marveled because the demons, the illnesses, and nature itself were subject to His words of spirit. That was the anointing of the prophet like unto Moses whose words were words of spirit (Deuteronomy 18:15, 18). Jeremiah, Yeshua, and Moses all spoke words of authority and life that moved the spirit realm. And we must have an impact on the spirit realm as well.

God wants us to walk in the spirit and be filled with the Spirit so that our words are spirit and life (John 6:63). But when we buy into satan’s deception, we think this natural realm exists only by virtue of natural principles. That is a lie; this natural world is driven and influenced by the spirit realm. Yeshua cast out demonic spirits because He knew those were not natural level illnesses (Luke 9:1). You will either believe that the natural world and all its problems are the result of natural forces, or you will understand that this natural world is under the rulership of the prince of the power of the air (Ephesians 2:2). So you must first bind the strongman in order to plunder his house (Matthew 12:29).

Christ has all authority in heaven and in earth. We simply apply what He has already accomplished and see His enemies be made a footstool for His feet (Hebrews 10:13). Christ defeated them, but someone is going to bind them and put them at His feet. This can only be done in the realm of spirit. The words from your mouth must be prophetic words of authority and dominion that are divinely powerful to bind and to loose (2 Corinthians 10:4; Matthew 16:19).

Just as the Lord spoke to Jeremiah, so your words are to bring down, crush, and destroy the devil’s fortresses. But like Jeremiah, after you have removed the old rubble of satan’s rule, you will build up and plant. You are going to grow the Kingdom of God in this world. And by your words of spirit, you will create the new age.
