When you see times of darkness and tribulation, know that God is raising up His people to be the answer. Recently, we saw the murder of Charlie Kirk, and it is times like this that God pours out His Spirit and anointing on His people. Read the book of Kings; read the Prophets. When you see disastrous events take place like this one with Charlie, say, “Okay, God has the answer.” And now God is bringing His answer onto centerstage for everyone to see. Men and women of God will start showing up all around the globe because God uses human instruments as His mouthpiece.
“The LORD will rise upon you and His glory will appear upon you. Nations will come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your rising.” (Isaiah 60:2–3)[1]
We will not be moved by the same spirits that are motivating everything else happening around us. When satan comes, he will find nothing in us (John 14:30). God’s sons and daughters must be free and mature; they will be anointed and released in the name of the Lord to speak His Word, to bring the leadership that completely changes what is happening in our communities. Everything will change!
During this time it is very important that you keep your focus on the Lord and be led by the Spirit. Let the Lord speak to you and direct you. The devil has a way of painting over things with a quick brushstroke that gives a false appearance, and it is easy for him to bring deception because people are quick to judge and quick to make decisions based on what their eyes see, or their ears hear. But when Christ came, He did not judge by what His eyes saw or what His ears heard (Isaiah 11:3). He only spoke what the Father commanded Him to speak (John 12:49). So we need to bind the spirits behind what is happening in the news media and set the truth free.
Like Charlie, some of us may become martyrs. It is satan’s purpose to destroy all flesh but do not be afraid (Luke 12:32). We have to recognize that God has prepared us for this day. Isaiah spoke prophetically during a time of great tribulation. Likewise, Charlie answered God’s call and challenged our college students to see the truth as he faced tremendous opposition. Yeshua (Jesus) also stepped into a political, religious arena that was extremely difficult. Additionally, all the men and women of faith mentioned in Hebrews 11 faced difficult situations.
Yet there comes a moment when you have to step into your destiny and be what God has prepared you to be. Yeshua lived through thirty years of preparation, but at some moment He had to be the Messiah (John 2:11). Born as an infant, He had to mature and be prepared for many things. But there was a moment in Gethsemane that took Yeshua’s willingness and initiative to take the next step (Luke 22:42). Isaiah did the same thing (Isaiah 6:8). Charlie did the same thing. When Charlie heard the voice saying, “Whom shall I send?” he answered, “Here I am, Lord. Send me!” That takes courage! That is what separates religious doctrine from a true walk with God. But we are ready for that, and the world is ready for us to take that step. It is time for the Body of Christ to be God’s witness to the world.
