God has appointed seven annual feasts for His people. We have experienced a Christian fulfillment for four of these appointed times, but so far there does not appear to have been a fulfillment of the other three. This gives believers great reason for tremendous anticipation. Why not this year?

In the Scriptures, the Lord appointed 8 specific times that we should appear before Him, and in these appointed times, His desire and plan is to meet with us.
There is the weekly Sabbath, and seven annual appointed times—Passover (Pesach), Unleavened Bread, Sheaf of First Fruits Waved, Pentecost (Shavout), Trumpets (Rosh Hashanah), Atonement (Yom Kippur), Tabernacles (Sukkot).
When we look at these seven feasts, we see that four of these appointed times of the Lord had a Christian fulfillment in New Testament experience—Passover, Unleavened bread, Sheaf of the First Fruits, and Pentecost.
(Passover—Christ is our Lamb. Unleavened Bread—our release from sin. The sheaf of the first fruit being waved—the resurrection of Christ. Pentecost—the Holy Spirit poured out at the nexus of the Church.)
But for the three feasts which transpire during the upcoming fall season—Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur, Sukkot—we do not see that this same kind of Christian fulfillment has yet taken place. So, this is a time of great anticipation.

That is why for me this is a time of great anticipation.”
We should anticipate three basic things:
- We take the initiative to appear before the Lord in these fall feasts, seeking Him with our cry of faith, our prayer, our repentance, and we do not appear before Him empty-handed.
- We should anticipate three distinct experiences and expressions in the fulfillment of the three specific appointed times of Trumpets, Atonement, and Tabernacles.
- Since we have not experienced a Christian fulfillment of these appointed times, our faith should reach into Messiah and cry out to Him to let this season be the time of the great fulfillment. We believe the Word: In the day that you seek Me with all of your heart I will be found by you.

that in these appointed times God will meet with us.”
